Fr. Conrad Murphy
I am originally from Chicago but I really fell in love with Jesus and discovered God’s call to the priesthood during college here in DC. I love being a priest, especially hearing confessions and celebrating Mass and in general getting to talk about Jesus. I am also a big fan of baking, running, rock climbing, and Cubs baseball.
I am married with 5 kids, a graduate of Georgetown University ’86 &’07, and a parishioner at St. Jane deChantal in Bethesda. I have been involved in youth and young adult ministry since 1979, and started at the CSC in 2008 in Administration and Development and love it! I am known as the CSC MOM, for giving awesome hugs, and always have chocolate (and tissues) in my office.
Originally from Connecticut, I attended Mount St. Mary’s University for my undergraduate degrees in theology and philosophy, and I received my master’s degree in theology from Ave Maria University in Florida. I love being Catholic and being a husband to my wife, Madison, and find a lot of joy in theology, reading, anything athletic (esp. track and field), and a good Irish meal.

I was born in Bogotá, Colombia but have lived in Maryland most of my life. I am a proud UMD alum with a degree in Public Health and minor in Spanish Language and Latino Culture. I loved being a student here but love being on staff more! I am newly married to another Catholic Terp and we live in Bethesda, MD! Go Terps!
I left the great state of New Jersey to come work at the CSC in 2011. I have my Master’s in Theology from St. Joseph’s College in Maine. At the CSC, I coordinate the RCIA and Spiritual Direction programs for students. My husband, Matt, and I have one daughter named Lucy and we live in Hyattsville, MD.
I grew up on Long Island, NY and have a deep love of LI beaches and bagels. I went to George Mason University in VA and graduated with a B.S. In Athletic Training in 2019. I really came to know Jesus and the beauty of the Catholic Church in college and have been serving as a missionary since graduating. I have served with FOCUS at Montclair State University in New Jersey and Central Connecticut State University. I am excited to be here as team director at the University of Maryland. I love coffee, reading, and sometimes running. I am excited to make College Park home.
I grew up in Virginia Beach and graduated from the University of Virginia. During my first year at UVa, I had a profound encounter with the love of Jesus Christ and changed my life to follow Him. I love being outdoors, whether camping, hiking, or sprawling out in the grass somewhere. I love playing sports — especially basketball and spikeball — with my friends almost as much as I love having deep, meaningful conversations. I am as excited about this opportunity to get to know all of my fellow Catholic Terps as I am honored to be able to share my life and our faith with you!
“Every Christian needs a half-hour of prayer each day, except when he is busy. Then he needs an hour.”-St. Francis de Sales
What is up guys?! I grew up in sunny Los Angeles, California and went to Harvard College to study Neuroscience. Jesus called me into His love my sophomore year of college. I had a deep ache in my heart for something more. Now, I recognize that it was an ache to love and be loved. The Catholic Center at Harvard gave me some of my deepest friendships and I am super blessed to have found my way back to the Father! Come find me! I want to meet you!! I love playing volleyball, drinking coffee, and making playlists on Spotify. Some of my interests include all things Dodgers, JPII, Our Lady of Guadalupe, Mexico, and pReMEd hehe.
I am a Virginia native with a passion for Old Bay seasoning. I also enjoy most things outdoors, reading, and coffee of all types. This will be my first year on staff with FOCUS after graduating from Virginia Tech and I am very excited to share the joy of the Gospel with students at the University of Maryland. Go Terps!
