• Since 2010 we have seen a significant increase in our student population as well as increased need for faith community provided at the CSC.
• Our facility is outdated, has inefficient HVAC and bathrooms, is non-compliant for ADA or fire safety and ultimately has insufficient space to accommodate the ever growing the student community.
• Phase 1 will be to update HVAC, plumbing/electrical systems, install fire suppression, as well as enclose the center courtyard for expanded internal spaces. ($1.5 Million)
• Phase 2 will be to add the Barney room extension, continue to renovate and update existing interior spaces, entryway, hallways, the addition of adoration chapel and complete the update. ($1.5 Million)
• We intend to remain operational throughout both phases, to the best of our ability, with safety and efficiency as our guide.
• The Archdiocese of Washington policy requires 75% of the budget pledged before ground-breaking may occur.
• Our estimate is 12-18 months before we break ground.
• Alumni, parents of alumni and current students, faculty, staff, community members and friends of Catholic Terps are invited to participate.
• Everyone will be sent the same campaign information and everyone will be invited to participate to give through their preferred means of transaction: cash, check, ACH, credit card.
• Gifts may be made anonymously however, we also have naming opportunities for gifts.
• Gifts may be pledged over a 5 year period, and our development office will insure reminders are sent as each donors’ prefer: letter, email, phone calls etc.
• Yes. As we will remain operational throughout the campaign and building phases, our annual expenses will still need to be supported during this time.
• Funding for programmatic, facility and payroll expenses are raised through our offertory, Parent Fund, Alumni Project, monthly sustainable donors, and our Annual Appeal.
• Our primary goal is to raise the funds to update the facility. Our long term goal is to provide sustainable support for the facility, programs and sacramental life for future generations.
• First with Prayer –Centered on Christ will only work if we remain centered on Christ!
• Participate. Even if you cannot give much, give something. Every gift matters.
