Design of the new Blessed Carlo Acutis Adoration Chapel

To center our ministry even more on Christ, in the coming months the Catholic Terps will begin construction on our Blessed Carlo Acutis Perpetual Adoration Chapel. Our students and broader Catholic College Park Community have benefited so much already from Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. It has changed so many lives and sparked many conversions and vocations.

We need your help to make perpetual adoration possible! We need prospective adorers and donors to help complete the project.

Who is Blessed Carlo Acutis?

Blessed Carlo Acutis was born in 1991 in London to an Italian family. From an early age he had a deep love of God and especially of the Eucharist. He started going to daily Mass and adoration as a young boy, and brought his family who were not practicing their faith with him. Like many CSC students, he loved computer science and created a website to promote devotion to the Eucharist and Eucharistic Miracles. He died of Leukemia in 2006, saying, “I offer to the Lord the sufferings that I will have to undergo for the Pope and for the Church.” Because he shares so much in common with the Catholic Terps and was so devoted to Adoration our new Perpetual Adoration Chapel will be placed under his patronage.
